Houston County Electric Cooperative provides service to members in parts of nine counties in east Texas:  Anderson, Angelina, Cherokee, Freestone, Houston, Leon, Madison, Trinity, and Walker.

Within these counties, HCEC maintains more than 4,500 miles of electric distribution lines that provide service to more than 19,500 electric meters.
 

The board of directors and general manager of HCEC strive to meet their main goal for every member in each of these nine counties - to provide reliable electric service at the lowest possible cost.
