In addition to providing our customers with reliable electric service, Houston County Electric Co-op is also involved with these additional services:

Providing community assistance programs such as the Government-in-Action Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., that teaches participatory leadership and citizenship responsibilities.

Assisting communities with economic development.

Educating the public about electric safety.

Supporting educational opportunities by funding scholarships for students within their service areas.

Supporting important community organizations, such as volunteer fire departments, schools and local government.

Providing infrastructure to support community needs and improve quality of life, such as water/wastewater, Internet, satellite TV, etc.
